Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Thankful for an honest car shop. Reasonable prices. They have a good area for my kids to play. Brad has done any of our major work and I'm always pleased with my oil changes.

It’s a place full of kind people and great service! They are willing to help and don’t just think about the money you can spend, but about providing quality service! They checked my tires because a light came on in my dashboard; there was nothing wrong, they just managed to turn it off and told me I didn’t owe anything.

Tri-City Auto Warning: Dishonest Service, Scammers, Voided Refund, and Vehicle Put at Risk” It’s rare that I leave negative reviews, but my experience with Tri City Auto was a complete nightmare. They charged me $773 for faulty work based on a diagnostic they never properly performed. I was told my Q3 Audi needed a thermostatβ€”only to later learn it didn’t. The part was ordered incorrectly three times, delaying repairs. I was then told by Jennifer McCormick, I should be grateful she did not charge me for their mistake because it cost them money. My car was initially promised back the same day but wasn’t returned for two days. The day after pickup, my car wouldn’t start, I was able to get a battery jump, to make it to Jiffy Lube (less than 1 mile away) for a battery replacement. Within minutes the dashboard lights lit up, smoke billowed from under the hood and fluid poured from the bottom of the car. Jiffy Lube discovered the intake hose hadn’t been properly reconnectedβ€”posing serious safety risks to me and others as I was about to travel out of town. Tri City agreed to tow the car back and offered a loaner, which was the only positive experience. They eventually admitted the th

This was my first visit to this auto repair business. It was recommended by the dealership where I had purchased my car. I needed an oil change, tire rotation and state inspection. It was very easy to schedule my appointment. When I arrived, my car was taken back very quickly and was completed in less than 90 minutes. The waiting area was very comfortable and I even got a complimentary sausage biscuit while I was waiting. Although that may not be normal, I did appreciate it and the free coffee. Even without the free biscuit, I do plan on using this business for my future automotive repair needs.
